Description:

Bismuth Subcarbonate Pharma is white  powder ,  odorless and tasteless .it is steady in air, it become brown gradually  when exposed. it is decomposed into carbon dioxide and bismuth oxide,When heated . Insoluble in water and alcohol, soluble in inorganic  acid and strong  acetic  acid . Density is 6.86, the commdity with 1/2  crystallization water .

Bismuth subcarbonate Pharma is coordination compound ,named Bismuth oxycarbonate.Chemical formula :(BiO)2CO3.1/2H2O, it is white powder , insoluble in water and soluble in acid , It can be made from ammonium carbonate and bismuth nitrate reaction.

The bismuth nitrate solution  and  sodium carbonate solution which removed chloride  processed metathesis ,to get  Bismuth subcarbonate,and get  the finished product by washing, centrifugal separation,drying ,crushing , at PH 8.5-9.0 ,Temp 50-55degree,reaction for 40minutes.

 

Usage:

Bismuth Subcarbonate can be used as analytical reagent and other bismuth salt materials  , plastic additives, cosmetics, adhesion agent, enamel flux. On gastric mucosal protective medicine, also slightly to convergence, used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer, bacterial dysentery, acute mucosa permeable gastritis, enteritis and diarrhea, etc. Used as opacifier in X-ray diagnosis.
